Your efforts set our enemies back, and that is likely the only reason the suvivors still remain here, but it is only a matter of time before the Syndicate comes to finish us off while we are weak.This battle is meaningless now anyways. We've lost our ruler and our history. Trying to hold off further is fruitless, even if we somehow kept the fight going a while longer.
The Syndicate only wants the fortress and its valuables. Though other artifacts remain...I may be a Caretaker, but I am also our leader now, the people must come first, so I have decided to surrender the remaining district and anything of value we still possess in exchange for our lives.
I need to tend to our dead, please pass my first and final command as Regent to the survivors.
