Fel Commutation allows you to protect your gear in High-Risk PvP.Find the Fel Commutation Portal in the Cleft of Shadow within Ogrimmar. Interacting with the portal will allow you to protect or remove gear slots from Fel Commutation. If you die in High-Risk PvP, you will instead drop gold instead of your gear!
You can find your max gold lost on death in your character pane at the bottom right by hitting C.
