Mystic Enchants - Simple New Players Guide
Hello everyone!
I've started playing Ascension WoW a while ago and despite the fact that I've sunken probably well over 2k hours into World of Warcraft over the last 20 years, I was quite overwhelmed when I started my journey here. If you feel the same way, I'll do my best to explain maybe the most convoluted part of this project - Mystic Enchants. It was probably the hardest part to fully understand when me and my close buddies started playing Ascension and every time I log in i see similar questions in [Newcommers] Channel, so let's get into it!
I. What are Mystic Enchants?
Mystic Enchants are basically passive bonuses to your build, allowing you to further expand your character's power. They come in 4 rarities and naturally, the rarer, the more impactful:Uncommon - minor buffs such "3% more damage of [certain ability]"
Rare - more complex buffs/ability tweaks, sometimes affecting multiple abilities such as "Increases the damage of your Arcane Missiles, Arcane Barrage, Arcane Blast, and Starfire spells by 2%"
Epic - very powerful changes to your build and abilities, often stacks of passive buffs improving your power, for example "Increases the damage of your Starfire by 3% and Moonfire by 5%. Stacks up to 5 times and lasts 8 sec."
Legendary - build changing enchants, immensely changing the way you play your character, they are complex and sometimes hard to understand at first. Here's an example:
It's important to note that you can stack most of Uncommon and Epic, so you're able to have up to 3 of the same enchants at the same time and some Epic ones but you have to check the description of an enchant.
II. Where to get Mystic Enchants?
Pretty much, there are two most important ways to get them, in all rarities:1. They can drop from any mob in the game as a part of the loot, naturally on your journey you'll find more Uncommon enchants than Epic or legendary. You can find Mystic Enchants from the very beginning of your journey and they don't have any level limitations.
2. Auction House - A place to buy various items listed by other players for in-game currency. Those are located in Your faction's capital:
Horde - Orgrimmar
Alliance - Stormwind
Sometimes Legendary Mystic Enchants are more expensive than let's say Uncommon ones but that's not always the case.
III. How to activate Mystic Enchants?
Whenever you get Uncommon or Rare Mystic Enchant, you can slot them on the go, everywhere in the world, by simply using them in your backpack and slotting in the Mystic Enchants tab in Your Character Advancement (N on the keyboard) window. In case you aquire Epic or Legendary Mystic Enchant, you will need to use Mystic Enchanting Altar. They can be accessed by:
- Using an altar placed by other player in the world (you can usually find them in your faction's capital).
- Using a fixed, Ancient Enchanting Altar in one of the few zones found here. (You can use the teleport in Stormwind/Orgrimmar for a small Gold fee).
IV. Swapping Enchants
If you find a better Enchant for your build or just want to experiment with different enchants/abilites, you can do that but swapping them costs you Mystic Orbs, which are also obtained in many ways, for example dungeons, loot and buying them for Mark of Ascension currency. You just stack up on them throughout the levelling. It's important to note that when swapping Mystic Enchants, you lose existing ones in the process (except Worldforged Enchants).
Umm.. Worldforged?
Yes, some enchants you find will be Worldforged, meaning they are soulbound - obtained by looting enemies or finding in the chests in the world and cannot be bought on the Auction House or traded between the players. They are usually powerful Mystic Enchants bound to your Account. That's all the information I could gather right now, I'm sorry for any grammar or spelling errors. I'll try to update the guide with more information. If there's anything that's wrong in the guide then be sure to let me know and I'll fix it! I hope this little guide might help some of you and allow you to get more into the game because it's truly amazing :D
Have fun in Project Ascension!
