Season 9 Elune - New Player Information
Welcome to Season 9!
This guide is to educate brand new players starting out or returning players needing a refresher.
Dice of Destiny:
Your dice will be used only from level 1-9, you can use it to roll your starting abilities.
Once you hit level 10 you will be asked if you would like to lock in your chosen abilities, if not you can roll as much as you need.
When you hit level 11 you may no longer re-roll your starting abilities.
As you level you will start to roll random abilities and talents, which can be re-rolled using Scrolls of Fortune/Talents.

Book of Ascension:
As you level you'll need to level your abilities.
You can do this through a class trainer, which can be found in every main city.
You can also use a Book of Ascension, these are player owned pets which can be bought from the Ascension store or from other players
from the auction house. When you summon the book it will automatically level all of your abilities if able.
You will most likely find players with books of ascension in the main areas of Stormwind and Orgrimmar.

Skill Cards:
Skill Cards are obtainable Talents and Abilities that you can use to refine your build as you play.
If you're freshly starting out then you won't have any Skill Cards to use just yet!
Skill Cards are dropped or sold by a wide variety of NPCs.
Ascension Skill Card Database - https://db.ascension.gg/?guide=42
(If the card you are looking for isn't on the list then it may have not been found yet and must be rolled)

Trials & Challenges:
If you're looking for an extra challenge then look for Stony Tark in your starting area or main city.
Trials and Challenges will reward you with various cosmetics and Marks of Ascension.
If you're looking to end a challenge early then return to Stony or open the Trial menu via the macro bar, select your challenge, and deactivate.
If you fail any challenge then you must level to max and then prestige back to level 1 via Chromie in your main city.
Hardcore Mode - You will not lose your character or any progress if you die with Hardcore status, you just lose the challenge.

Prestige:
If you're not happy with your build or would like to try something new then you can prestige by talking to Chromie in your main city.
Prestige will revert you back to level 1, you will keep all of your currency and your items will be put into your bags.
This is the time where you can use your new found skill cards to help refine your new build!
You must use or destroy all of your Scrolls of Fortune/Talents before you can prestige.

Silas Darkmoon:
Silas can be found near your starting area or main city.
Silas hands out Scrolls of Fortune/Talents every 10 levels, and once you hit max level he then sells them for Marks of Ascension.
You can also buy Golden Card Packs for 50g which contain Golden Skill Cards that can be used to refine your build when you prestige.
Opening Normal and Golden Packs will give you Normal/Golden Darkmoon tickets respectively which can be use to buy a variety of items and cards.
Scroll of Fortune - Rerolls 1 Ability or Talent
Scroll of Talents - Rerolls 1 Talent

Darkmoon tickets can also be used to open card packs containing 3 cards that you do not have yet!
The cost will increase as you use this option.

Callboard:
Callboards can be found in all main cities and contain various daily quests that reward Marks of Ascension and caches usually containing gear.
It's also a good place to check when daily quests reset!
Every day callboards will offer ~5 quests in the same area, mobs in these areas can be tagged regardless of being in a team.
Quests can be stored up to 7 times, meaning that if you miss a day of playing then you can still make up the amount of quests missed.
Example:
Kill 10 mobs - Available 2x - Once you turn it in then you can do it once more for more rewards.

Manastorm:
The newest addition to Ascension, the Manastorm.
Millhouse can be found in your main city.
In the Manastorm you will be teleported to various dungeons or familiar landmarks to defeat a specific boss.
Each boss defeated allows you to go further into the Manastorm granting greater rewards.
As you get higher new affixes will start appearing, changing how you advance in each level.
You can run solo, duo, trio, or as a whole raid group typically 15 in size.
As you go through the Manastorm you'll earn two types of currency, Bonzo Bolts and Bedlam Bullion.
These new currencies can be used for various items such as cosmetics or Manastorm specific spells to help you.

PvP Rulesets:
Elune is an optional pvp server, here you can choose your own Risk option.
By pressing "H", and going to the ruleset tab you can select No-Risk, No-Risk PvP, or High Risk PvP.
No Risk - Passive PvE mode
No Risk PvP - Optional open world pvp with no risk of losing items or gold.
High Risk PvP - Optional open world pvp where you can lose items and gold.

Seasonal Rewards:
All achievements earned in-game will add up to seasonal points.
These can be used for various pets, cosmetics, and mounts!
These rewards will transfer to Area52 at the end of the season.
You can use a vanity sync to reuse your cosmetics in every season moving forward.
Once you reach the point limit you will need to wait for the next chapter of the season
to be able to earn more seasonal points. Gaining achievements after you hit the limit for
that chapter will not count for any further points.

Thanks for reading, best of luck on your rolls!
