Holy Oracle
1. Introduction
This spec - Oracle of the Eclipse - was used to progress Ascended SSC (not all fights) and can do well on Ascended content that doesn't require a lot of constant AoE healing. It's also excellent for M+. If you are looking for more advice and information about the build or it's playstyle, you can find me on the ascension discord (RWA).2. 3. Playstyle
Oracle of the Eclipse(Oracle) is a healer that combines the Shaman and Holy paladin kit. However, this take on the spec almost completely ignored the Shaman side of things. We are mostly playing a Holy kit, and just splashing in Healing Wave for procs.
Casting Holy Light enters Lunar Eclipse and casting Healing Wave enters Solar eclipse.
We are casting Holy spells in both phases, and will only cast healing wave to enter Solar Eclipse.
The main benefit we get is that we can use Natural Zeal for a lot of haste, and we get access to Oracle's Blessing.
Oracle's Blessing empowers the next Holy Shock to do a huge AoE heal at a small radius around the target. This is our main way to handle AoEs and emergency healing, with Light of Dawn being our backup.
Since Oracle's Blessing resets the CD of Holy Shock, we can quickly gain stacks for Dawn of the Second Day. This synergy is very strong and should be used at all times.
We gain 2 charges of Oracle's Blessing every time we switch Eclipses, and can store up to 5. They can hit like a truck, so 5 stores up charges is a lot of healing we can do on demand, but avoid wasting your charges. If you run out, the spec has a very difficult time keeping up with AoE dmg.
As a summary:
- spam Holy Light,
- cast Holy Shock when available
- use Healing Wave only to maintain Nature's Swiftness and switch Eclipses,
- use Oracle's Blessing for AoE healing,
- use Light of Dawn when the AoE is too much or you want to save Oracle's Blessing charges.
The spec also has a lot of crit-based procs. This means crit is a very valuable stat, and High Intellect is a good way to get both max mana and crit, as well as a good chunk of spellpower.
Therefore our stat priority is like this:
- High Intellect
- Crit rating
- Haste
- Spell power
- Mp5
Disclaimer, Stat allocation is NOT the same as the attributes on gear. Every healer is in "Spirit Allocation", this just marks your role as a healer, and has nothing to do with gearing priorities. Set Spirit allocation and you can forget about the setting
