Alchemy and herbalism guide.

To start up you will need to learn Alchemy and Herbalism from either a trainer in your capital cities or from a Book of Artisans.

We will start with Herbalism first, I've added some helpful images with routes but you can also click each flower to see in the DB where they spawn.

Note: Some zones spawn multiple types of herbs with different skill requirements.
Pick every herb you can from the zone, most of them are needed for Alchemy.

Skill 1 - 70
You will gather : Peacebloom, Silverleaf, Earthroot
You will find them mostly in the starter zones, I would recommend picking a zone with less traffic instead of Durotar and Elwynn.

Skill 70 - 115
You will gather: Mageroyal, Briarthorn, Stranglekelp
Best places to gather them :
Alliance - Westfall

Stranglekelp spawns in water along the coast.
Alternatives: Redridge Mountains, Duskwood

Horde - The Barrens

Stranglekelp spawns in water between Ratchet and Northwatch Hold.
Alternatives: Ashenvale

Skill 115 - 170
You will gather: Bruiseweed, Wild Steelbloom, Kingsblood, Liferoot
Best places to gather them:
Alliance:Stranglethorn Vale

Alternatives: Duskwood, Arathi Highlands

Horde: Stonetalon Mountains

Alternatives: The Barrens, Ashenvale

You will gather: Fadeleaf, Goldthorn, Khadgar's Whisker

You will gather: Gromsblood, Dreamfoil, Mountain Silversage, Plaguebloom - also gather Arthas' Tears if you're in Eastern/Western Plaguelands, you will need it for Alchemy.

300 - 350
You will gather: Felweed, Dreaming Glory - Hellfire Peninsula, Nagrand, Terokkar Forest

350 - 375
You will gather: Netherbloom, Nightmare Vine - Netherstorm and Shadowmoon Valley

You can farm each herb in this zones:
-Felweed, Dreaming Glory - You can find these two in all Outland zones mostly in Hellfire Peninsula


-Terocone - Terokkar Forest


-Ragveil - Zangarmarsh


-Nightmare Vine - Shadowmoon Valley


-Netherbloom - Netherstorm


Mana Thistle has a few spawns in each zone.
Nagrand and Blade's Edge Mountains don't have any zone specific herbs. You can use them as farming alternatives for Felweed, Dreaming Glory .
