Mote farming guide

Here's a short guide with images to farming all types of motes in Outland.

On images will be both mobs locations you can farm for motes and the clouds that you can extract with Zapthrottle Mote Extractor which requires Engineering.

Note: These are locations that I farm currently and have decent drop/respawn time. There are other mobs that drop motes(you can check on db) but these spots are the ones that can be farmed more consistently.

HELLFIRE PENINSULA
Mote of Fire = Incandescent Fel Spark
Mote of Shadow = Collapsing Voidwalker
There are no clouds that can be extracted with Zapthrottle Mote Extractor here.


ZANGARMARSH
Location 1 = Withered Giant
Location 2 = Fungal Giant
Location 3 = Starving Fungal Giant
All 3 locations drop Mote of Life
All mobs from the 3 locations can be gathered from with Herbalism skills for extra motes.
Yellow dots = Swamp Gas drops Mote of Water - requires Zapthrottle Mote Extractor (1 hour respawn)


NAGRAND
Mote of Fire = Raging Fire-Soul
Mote of Air = Storming Wind-Ripper
Mote of Earth = Enraged Crusher
Mote of Shadow = Voidspawn
Yellow dots = Windy Cloud drops Mote of Air - requires Zapthrottle Mote Extractor. Some spawn on top of the floating islands. (10 min respawn)


NETHERSTORM
Location 1 = Mageslayer Mana Seeker
Location 2 = Mana Wraith
Both locations drop Mote of Mana.
Yellow dots = Arcane Vortex drops Mote of Mana - requires Zapthrottle Mote Extractor (1 hour respawn)


SHADOWMOON VALLEY
Mote of Fire = Enraged Fire Spirit
Yellow dots = Felmist drops Mote of Shadow - requires Zapthrottle Mote Extractor (10 min respawn)
