Consistent 1-60 Prestige in 25 minutes [OWTL] *post XP nerf*

I'm Thirk on Elune, currently Prestige 160173. I did about 100 Prestige runs in a week when I started playing earlier this season, and before the XP nerf was able to consistently get 1-60 in around 15 minutes by spamming MS from level 16 to 60. Post nerf, after some tweaks this build can still average sub-25 minutes (was 28 minutes w/o changes). Nerf sucks big time since leveling now takes almost twice as long, but we persist.

The build is really just a super simple glass cannon OWTL.

Go Strength.

Starters:

Righteous Fury
Crusader Strike
Arcane Intellect
Charge

Gear:

Polished Battlegear of Valor
Wand of the Forgotten Lich
2x Ring of the Seer
2x Discerning Eye of the Beast
Weapons: 1-2x Bloodied Arcanite Reaper

Enchants:

+8 Strength Helmet/Legs (activates at level 50).
+4 Stats Chest
+15 Spell Power Wrists
+16 Spell Power Gloves
+7 Stamina or Minor Speed Boots
+1 All Stats Rings (activates at level 35).
+7 Resist Cloak
Weapons (until Level 30): Spell Power / Spell Power
Weapons (after Level 30): Overpowering Crusader / Brutal Crusader

Use gearsets to swap weapons easily. We switch to two different enchants after level 30 because this way they can stack (when playing Titan's Grip variant).

Spells:

Divine Storm
Death Wish
Exorcist's Slash
Seal of Command
Flametongue Weapon
Lava Sweep

Flex/Tech: Flametongue/Lava Sweep could be swapped out for Fel Infused Weapon + something else. Be aware Lava Sweep is a big chunk of your ST damage.

I tried Titan's Grip but it sucked. Still want to try TG + Death Wish, swapping FT/LS for FIW. Also have not tested a 1H DW build yet - could be fun with 2x Flametongue.

Mystic Enchants:

3x Demonic Divine Storm
3x Seals of the Pure
3x Divine Strength
3x Sanctity of Battle
1x Crusade
1x Strength in Faith
1x Lightforged Weapon
1x Holy Power
1x Sacred Rites

Talents:

One With The Light
Vengeance
Direct Command
Sanctity of Battle
Seals of the Pure
Consecrated Strikes
Consecrated Weapon
Mental Quickness

Flex/Tech: Direct Command, Sanctity of Battle, Seals of the Pure could be swapped to try out other things. Proc enchants could be decent.

Race:

I've been doing this using a Gnome, and I can get to 16 within about 5 minutes, at which point you get Divine Storm and now you can start spamming MS. I've mostly started at MS1, but have also had slightly faster runs with higher MS - just don't go too high. I started testing Orc for the racial and +1% crit, but it seems to be much slower pre-MS.

Manastorm Macro

/use Manastorm: Rage Rush Solution
/use Manastorm: Incantation Intensifier
/use Manastorm: Sprint Serum
/cast Death Wish
Time your macro so you reach the boss when your sprint runs out. At higher ranks this has 90%+ uptime since leveling resets CDs. Death Wish lasts 30 seconds and most of the time you want to be clearing the entire Storm faster than that.

You'll want these 3 slotted + Muscle Maxer. I have Muscle Maxer (and Blood Fury as Orc) bound to my Crusader Strike. Make sure you also bind Interrupt Rod and Magical Escape.

MS Upgrade Priority is Sprint Serum > Muscle Maxer > Hearty Heal Upgrade > others. You don't need to rank up the rod, or anything else not mentioned. You want to go fast all the time and hit hard on the boss, in that order. Other stuff is almost irrelevant.

I am at Rank 78 Sprint Serum and Rank 6 Muscle Maxer at the time of writing this guide.

The Run:

Use your XP items/buffs, setup your cards/binds. I have all my spells "pre-bound" using macros so they always slot into the same spot when I hit the level required to get it. Before level 16, we don't risk going into MS because we have no AoE. From 1 - 16, you just spam mobs in your starting zone. As soon as we hit 16, we want to hop into MS (I usually start at level 101). There's no special tricks here other than that you generally run straight to the boss - attempting to path as best as possible but killing as many mobs as possible along the way. Your goal is to clear all links before reaching the boss.

If you see a lot of Chaotic Links that need to be taken out before the boss and you've spawned particularly far back into a storm, and you can't kill the majority of them before getting to the boss, consider if it's faster to leave and re-enter. Some bosses are tankier than others - this is where you start to "feel" out how many links should be up, and will come with time after doing enough prestiging with MS. Do not leave a Manastorm until the debuff wears off.

Flametongue Weapon is important to remember to keep up! Refresh at levels 10 -> 18 -> 26 -> 30 (after swapping to new weapons) -> 36 -> 46 -> 56!

There are some stages we will always want to skip (I made these names up): Sunken Temple Hakkar, Sunken Temple Statues, Frost Dragon Stage (in Northrend?), Twin Frost Dragons Cave, Blasted Lands Ritual, Other Blasted Lands Ritual. These stages are just way too slow to be worth it, and will lose us over a minute each. The reason I prefer to start at 1 is it also limits the pool of stages that are faster to skip than do (after level 50 they start to pop up). If you get any of these, wait until your 2 minute debuff is up and just leave/enter - sorry, bad RNG.

Even with several mistakes/deaths, I can get sub-25 minutes from 1 - 60, starting from when I move. As long as you have the "build" setup appropriately, you should be able to always get under 30 minutes even with horrendous RNG and multiple deaths. My fastest has been 19:16 minutes, and I'm exploring getting it down more.

Stage Specific Tips:

- Stratholme is slow. If you're doing any of the ziggurat bosses, you usually want to have links at 0.
- You can always 1 phase Noxxion as long as his links are at 0.
- In Dire Maul, taunt the charging ogre bosses - don't charge them.
- Be aware of storms with healers - you need to either kill them or pass the DPS check. If you misestimate, you will lose a ton of time.
- Double check the RFD boss to make sure you're not running the wrong way.
- You can mount in Zul'Farrak *and in non-dungeon* storms. You can even stay mounted *inside* non-dungeon storms. For these stages, instead of using Sprint, mount up and run all the way to the boss.

It isn't meant to be. It's for prestige spam.
