Generic purpose Nightmare Build

Leveling Tip:
slot cards in before next roll, to gurantee the order you get them in, you dont wanna get all 3 of your hit increase talents before getting the actual hydromancer talent.
save all of your rerolls for lvl 32, this is when we are going to try and use a few to try nat rolling chain lightning so if we get lucky we have a bonus card slot for something else, or just slot it in at the start and use ur rerolls whenever you feel like it.

the only card thats required is hydromancer, and a few hit chance cards because missing a spell raises your chance of death significantly.
conductor/frostyfrost frostbolt raise your damage output significantly but they arent needed.
forked lightning could also be switched out it just helps with aoe pulls but you should try avoiding them if possible.
elemental reach/any spell range increase. can be replaced, but having the extra bit of range does help, and the capstone bonus from this one is pretty nice
if u dont have these above cards alacrity/pendulum/ anything that works in with frostbolt/lightning bolt/haste would work okay, but you really should try getting these ones if you want the easiest experience.

Chain lightning-32 ( leave unslotted, and save your silas rerolls to try to natroll first, slot in before using your last ability reroll)

waternova is basically required as it applies an aoe douse for a followed up chainlightning
ice age is very useful as it applies douse to everything it hits aswell as rooting them, could maybe be switched out for frost nova but i havent tested if frost nova applies douse, but this one is also basically required. into darkness is a great something went wrong button to save you, however if you play very careful you probably wont need it, but its better to be safe than sorry, but both challenges ive completed so far i didnt actually end up using it once.
i found angelic feather to be very useful to save time between mobs/inside turning quests in/ also when needing to run away, however its not a necessary spell if you wanted to pick something else.
chain lightning required for aoe pulls, leave this one unslotted so you can maybe natroll and have an extra card slot for something else
mass entanglement, guarantees a safe opening against packs of mobs/ dangerous named mobs you dont want getting close, itd say its almost required but you can do without if youre extra careful

if youre missing any of these cards, and dont really feel like getting them, or you were lucky at lvl 32 and nat rolled chain lightning, here are some recommendations ive found were useful.
stone shard, shaman shocks, glacial spike, hydricles, frost nova, maybe even polymorph are all good choices
energy bolt is cool it works as a lightning bolt +generates combo points so you can use ice shock which seems like synergy rolls in a lot even if you dont have energy bolt.

Starters

frostbolt-lightningbolt-fireblast-fizzle(just incase)
if you wanted a pet replace fizzle,
-if youre running conductor you can typically get the hydromancer stun off before they can get their cast off, or you can los their cast after frostbolt and then lightning bolt as theyre running to get los again, and you should be mostly avoiding caster mobs anyway but sometimes its hard.

Standard opening
frostbolt-lightningbolt- fireblast-other instant casts(if you got a lucky roll)/frostbolt

Alternate opening (to build frosty frost frostbolt/save conductor stacks in preparation of a dangerous pull of a named enemy you wanna nuke fast such as the dehta venture co bosses)

frostbolt-frostbolt-fireblast-other instants-wanding

aoe opening (very risky, make sure to clear an escape route to run away if things go wrong, make sure ice age is off cd to root any melee mobs who get in close, and id suggest focusing any caster/ranged mobs who shoot/throw as theyre harder to run away from than melee mobs)

mass entangle-water nova-chain lightning-instant casts to finish off low hp mobs
